Growing Up

This sweet, first baby girl of mine is growing up. Sometimes it feels scary and overwhelming at the great honor and responsibility we've been given to love, mold and nurture the lives of not only one, but three beautiful little princesses. These are the words I've been speaking into my girls this year. Powerful, true, life-giving words of self-love and the greater love found in their King. I pray this knowledge will sink deep into their hearts, take root and grow!

Aria got her ears pierced. "It didn't even hurt," she said. Gah. So big.

Princess school. Parts of a flower.

Baby Girl #3 at 36 weeks

Thankfully she had finally decided to turn head down! Estimated at 6.5 pounds with one month to go!

Happy 3rd Birthday Ellie Grace!

Happy 3rd birthday to my sweet and spunky mini-me! Ellie, you are funny and smart. You are a wild-child: full of life and adventure! You like to take risks, LOVE gymnastics, and figuring things out for yourself. You're a mama's girl and I love that. You are thoughtful  and you ask great questions. You remember everything and are a great helper! I love you to the moon and back and am so thankful that God lovingly placed you in our family!

Birthday day at Legoland, and a weekend family party. This was a low key year since I was super pregnant.

At Eudora HS production of Beauty and the Beast.

November

Soaking up every last warm day that we can!

October

Swimmin' it up until the weather says we can't!

Halloween on Mass St.!

A Funny Thing Happened at Applebee's

We went to Applebee's with Charles and Kristin for dinner. Ellie was asleep on my lap, so Aria decided to go hang out at the bar. The bar tender was super sweet and let her hang out and tell him all about goodness knows what. Then she decided to order a blue margarita. He made her a blue milkshake "margarita" and she sat there and sipped and talked for over an hour! Such a crack up!

Skate Nite

Our church hosts two community skate nights a year to minister to the community. We helped pass out flyers the week before, then had an awesome time skating with everyone at the event!

The Trumpet

We went to a homeschool music event in July and, for some reason, Aria really took to the trumpet. The director was impressed that she played as well as she did at her young age. Aria has talked about playing trumpet often since then so we decided to pull out Gabe's old trumpet for her birthday. She's in love! We'll see how she develops and how her attention span for it goes before springing for lessons, but so far so good!

Goodbye CA!

We got to spend the day at the beach with the Colgan family, Grammy and Papa and all of us! It was a beautiful day. :-) Later on, we went to Farrell's for grandma's birthday dinner. Such a wonderful way to end our trip to California for the year!

Aria's 5th Birthday

A RoyalTea Party

We had so much fun celebrating Aria's 5th birthday in true princess style! She enjoyed every minute in her pink and gold, girly sparkle splendor! It was such a treat to celebrate with all her favorite CA girlfriends and I was so thankful we were able to do this for her. Love you, my sweet princess!

Beautiful Princess Aurora

Gettin' our nails did!

Tea time for the princesses! And mommies and grandmommies!

I might possibly have overdone it on the cakes...maybe. ;)

No kingdom was unrepresented: We had Anna, Elsa, Aurora, Rapunzel, Sofia, and Cinderella!
