A Random April

My independent one making her daily morning scrambled eggs. "Mommy! I do!" And she does a pretty good job! I wish she was interested in doing the dishes as well. ;)

We took a short trip to Garden City to visit great grandma and grandpa Berg and to celebrate their 90th birthdays. It was fun!  Everyone was there except Michelle and it was great to visit for a few days.

Miss independent again! Dressing herself...might need a little practice here yet. :)

Aria got glasses. Cutie!

We also spent some good time reviewing our CC curriculum for the year which included states and capitals. Sweet girl fell asleep about half way thru after a busy day.

Ellie in her happy place!

...aaaand happy place number two...

A Chilly Easter Egg Hunt

Our church put on a citywide Easter egg hunt at a local park and we decided to take the girls since we didn't otherwise have plans for a hunt on Easter. They had fun! The eggs were filled with tickets for treats down on Mass St. which the girls collected from businesses trick or treat style (confusing for little ones!) Aria kept telling everyone, "trick or treat! Happy holidays!" It was so cute!

Messes and Boo Boos

Ellie at work again...

...and a visit to urgent care after Aria ran into the cardoor. Good times.

A Little More Snow

Our last snow of the year made for a fun play day in the backyard. I love that they embrace the weather, whatever it may be!

Daddy Date Time!

14 degrees and this is the outfit she chose for her daddy date tonight. I managed to get some tights on those little legs, but she swore she wasn't cold! Fashion before comfort, I guess!

Gym Buddies

These two really love gymnastics...and each other...and ice cream!

Winter Fun

We didn't get much snow this year, but we took advantage of the little and went sledding out at Lone Star Lake with Hunter and Grandma Kim. Funny times! It was Ellie's first time sledding and she loved everything except the walking back up the hill part. Aria had a blast!

We also got to work on garden prep by building some raised planter boxes. The girls were great helpers! I'm a little nervous about gardening in KS where there is real weather and plants have to be started indoors, but I'm reading up on it in an attempt to have a successful garden haul this year.

IKEA runs to furnish and decorate the new house always end with ice cream and cinnamon rolls!

Happy Valentine's Day!

A Warm February Park Day!

These don't come very often, so we took full advantage of it with a picnic and park day!

Nutella Monster!

Trip to California

These three crazies boarded a plane for CA just 8 weeks after moving to KS! We went to have Christmas, visit with friends and family (Reno fam came down to visit as well), and escape the cold for a bit!

Had to visit Disneyland, of course! These two can't get enough...ever! Not gonna lie, we all love that place. :)

Christmas in Wichita

We spent Christmas week with Mark, Suzanne, Grandma and Grandpa Berg and the kids in Wichita, with a couple day visit from Charles and Kristin as well. It was so nice and relaxing to just all hang out together with no agenda or anywhere to be. Just fun and relaxing time together!

Gingerbread Time

It's become tradition in this family to build a gingerbread house each Christmas. Usually the girls build one with Grammy, but since we were in KS this year, I built it with them. Aria was super dedicated to the design of the roof and making sure the house looked just like the one on the box. Ellie was dedicated to eating as much of the candy and cookies as possible; a discrepancy between goals that may have caused some sisterly drama, but in the end all turned out well!

Bubble Bath in Auntie Kristin's Tub!

Aria: "It's a monster in jail!"

The Road to Kansas...

In November 2014, we packed up our house, put it on a truck, loaded our little family into the car, and hit the road for a big move to Kansas! We took our time getting there, about a week, and got to enjoy some of the beautiful sites along the way.

These hills and plateaus in Utah reminded me of scenes from Disney's Cars movie.

Just like Radiator Springs!

Views from our hotel in Zion National Park… Breathtaking!

Hiking Zion with the fam and my friend Rebecca and her dad, who joined us for the first leg of our trip.

Sunset somewhere over Utah.

Aria bought some make up along the route and decided she would do full stage this evening… 😉

Vail, Colorado! Gorgeous!

And… More make up.

Why, hello there Kansas!

Home… At last!
